Children Of Morta is a rogue-like, procedurally generated, story driven hack 'n slash game in which the player takes control of one of the family members of the Bergsons to battle the corruption which is returning to the world or Rea once again.

The family lives on the outskirts of Mount Morta and has been guarding it, and the Sanctuary of Rea Daina, for many generations. As a dark force begins to spread throughout Rea the agents of this ancient evil taint the land's Creatures, turning them into dark and twisted abominations. The Bergson family must try to reach the peak of the cursed mountain to find out what happened to its god and discover how they can change his doomed fate!

The game has a unique art style blending the old-school 2D pixel art aesthetics with a few modern lighting and rendering techniques bringing to life a world of fantasy and mystery. The game music is based around orchestral renaissance with many variations to please your ears while taking this journey with the Bergsons.

As games like Binding Of Isaac, Rogue Legacy and Risk Of Rain inspire the rougelike elements of the game, it also offers a novel blend of narration and rougelike hack and slash. You will experience a rich story comprised of specific narrative arcs and various random events.
  • Unique blend of traditional pixel art with modern lighting effects; transport yourself to the retro future now!
  • Craft various Items and Equipment from blueprints found in your adventures as well as Potions made by Grandma Margaret.
  • Highly replayable! Death come quick and often, but with each new attempt the procedurally generated dungeons change and introduce new random elements, puzzles, and challenges.
